Well I just looked over my last post which was pre-Noah. Noah is 9 months now and has been a sweet addition to our lives. He's a pretty smiley, easy going boy. Which was such a blessing for me getting used to having two babes. Cole stepped into his big brother status very well and is a great brother. I want to start documenting and writing again but I mainly wanted to write the sweet things my boys have been doing lately.
While at Great Grandma's house this summer I was laying with Cole trying to help him fall asleep. He was looking at me with his sweet eyes and smirky smile. He started stroking my face and said "You're a sweet mom. With a ball on your head. (my bun) Why do you do your hair like that?
Home in Denver I was having a bad day. Cole is very aware of my moods these days. He'll tell me to be happy or not to be a mean mom etc. Anyway I sat on his bed, holding Noah, with tears in my eyes. And my sweet Cole climbed on the bed next to me and didn't say a word. Just sat next to me and looked up and smiled. He then went and brought me a picture he had painted and told me it was for me. And then he said "I know!" He ran off and brought me the ensign. He said "Here's your mom book." Sweet Cole is very aware of my emotions. Which makes me want to hide them a little more so he doesn't have to be bigger than he is and fill a role that's not necessarily his.
Noah is a mama's boy! He is happiest when mom is close or holding him. He is also a hair puller/eater. It drives me NUTS! But he's pretty sweet. He talks non-stop. In sacrament everyone looks over because he is always babbling. We'll see what the future brings when he actually has words...
Cole was chewing on a rubber duck and wouldn't stop so I threw it under the couch. He started to cry and then came at me for a wrestle! Ended up taking off my sock and then listened to Dad's counsel to throw it under the couch. Chase told him to tell me I got my come upins. Cole's version was "cup cuckins."
